- The
U14 program is now within the CMSA (Calgary Minor Soccer
Association). Evaluations will be held to determine what
divisions the teams and players will be placed in. Times
and locations will be announced.
- All
players require a CMSA Players Card. Please check with register
to get your number then book an appointment at CMSA Office
at Calgary
Soccer Centre.
- Check
"about page" for age
eligibility.
- Teams
are all boys or all girls.
- Play
is 11 a side, including the goalkeeper.
- Team
size will be 14 to 17 players depending on number of registrants.
- Teams
will GENERALLY practice once a week and play once or twice
a week. However, this is dependent on the schedule given
to us.
- Skill
sessions and goalkeeper training are also once a week and
the cost of these are included in registration fees which
are among the lowest in The City. These are an important
part of player development.
- Practices
and skill sessions are an hour and a half to two hours long.
Along with the skill sessions these are held within our
area at Dr. Oakley, Bishop Pinkham, Alternative High and
Central Memorial Schools.
- Games
are 90 minutes long with 2 – 45 minute halves.
- Jerseys
are provided for games but must be returned at the end of
the season.
- There
MAY be tournaments offered throughout the season.
- Calglen
offers an indoor and an outdoor U14 program at all levels
of play to maintain continuity from season to season.
- Coaches
Training, First Aid and Certification courses are offered
to all our coaches.
- Children Require there own soccer ball (Size 5). Black
shorts, black socks, outdoor soccer shoes and shin guards
must be worn and are the responsibility of the player.
