Calglen participates in the Calgary Minor Soccer Association (CMSA) indoor soccer league. We enter teams in the U6, U8, U10, U12, U14 and U16 divisions. U6 and U8 are mixed and U10 to U16 are separate boys and girls teams. Evaluations will be held for U10, U12, U14 & U16 in September 2010 if more than one team is registered in one particular age group. Cal-Glen will cap all U10 to U16 Teams at 15 players per team. Team selection will be based on those that registered first. If there is a disbute, the decision will be decide by the Cal-Glen board. They will take into consideration the number of seasons the player has played for Cal-Glen in the past.

The Indoor CMSA Soccer program commences late Septemberand runs to the beginning of March depending on the Age Group. Evaluations and player placement occur in the latter half of September. Games commence Mid-October and are scheduled by CMSA and Calglen Soccer has no control over the time, days or location selected.

For U12 to U18 the CMSA has 6 tiers. Depending on the teams abilities, Calglen generally enters teams in the bottom 2 tiers (Tier V and VI) as these tiers have games on set days and the atmosphere is more relaxed. For more information on how the divisions are structured go to the CMSA Website.

  4. Players may request to play with a friend, at the level of the less competitive player. This is limited to one friend. Note if there is more than one team in the same age group and the teams need to be balance then we might not allow a group of friends stay together. This will be decided by the coaches and board.
  5. Players are invited to attend two evaluations, but will not be penalized for missing one due to a conflict.
  6. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the posted time to allow for registration.
  7. Soccer cleats are not permitted at the indoor sessions, runners or indoor soccer shoes are recommended.
  8. Evaluations are not an examination as much as an opportunity to enjoy some soccer!

Practice Schedule: (TBA)

Practices will be determined by the coaches and availability of gyms. Generally the practices will be once a week along with a skill section for U10 to U16 players. Most of our practices are held on week day evenings. These skills sessions are given by well qualified skills trainers that we hire to bring a high level training for Calglen players. All U12 to U16 head coaches are require to have extensive soccer experience and or soccer coach training. We put a lot of effort in trying to attract well qualified coaches and skills trainers so that we can provide a positive soccer experience for all players.
