to what was collected at registration time.
If
this is your child's first experience with CalGlen evaluations,
please note the following:
-
CalGlen
soccer is about fun, first and foremost; competition
comes second.
-
We
will make every effort to place all children on a
team. This being said we have decided to cap U10 to
U16 teams at 17 players per team. We will make every
effort to form second and third teams, but placing
priority will be given to children that register and
pay first.
-
Teams
will be selected based on players' ability and competitiveness,
and then placed in divisions of similar competitive
levels.
-
Players
may request to play with a friend, at the level of the
less competitive player. This is limited to one friend. Note if there is more than one team in the same age group and the teams need to be balance then we might not allow a group of friends stay together. This will be decided by the coaches and board.
-
Players
should bring outdoor soccer shoes, shin pads and
a water bottle to every game, evaluation and practice.
Outdoor soccer shoes, black shorts and black soccer
socks are required for U12 and U14.
- U10,
U12, U14 and U16 players are required to provide their
own balls for practice, skills and evaluation sessions.
Ball sizes by age group: U6 & U8 - size 3, U10 &
12 - size 4, U14 & U16 - size 5.
- All
players and parents will be contacted in September/October
via email by the team manager or coach to inform the
players of which team they are on and the schedule for
Indoor 2010/2011. Schedules are set by CMSA for all games.
- For
more information on the age groups please visit Age
Groupings.
